About Jessica Setnick
My mission: empowering health professionals
to confidently and competently treat eating disorders.
Many healthcare professionals find that their formal training and traditional resources didn't prepare them to work confidently with patients who have eating disorders. As a registered dietitian with a master's degree in exercise physiology and sports nutrition, I know mine didn't.
(Read more about my background here and listen to my Q&A for students and new dietitians here.)
That's why I developed Eating Disorders Boot Camp and the Eating Disorders Clinical Pocket Guide - to put treatment tools that help overcome eating disorders into the hands of as many professionals as possible.
Eating Disorders Boot Camp lets professionals learn and practice the treatment techniques that give you competence and confidence in these challenging situations. It's offered as a live workshop in cities across the US or as a home-study course.
The Eating Disorders Clinical Pocket Guide condenses an entire shelf of medical, pharmaceutical and nutritional texts into a guide that literally fits in your pocket. It's an invaluable quick reference for any health professional working with eating disorders.
Building Your Practice
I had tons of questions about career development and private practice when I started out, and you probably do too. I've shared some of my experiences in "Nearly Everything You Ever Wanted To Know About ED Careers and Private Practice".
And the "Double Your Patient Referrals...Without Getting Off The Couch" home study is an excellent way to start building your practice.
I also provide individual consultation to healthcare professionals regarding the treatment of patient eating disorders.
I welcome all opportunities to further the treatment of eating disorders. Feel free to contact me directly or visit my Public Speaking and Media pages.
